Honoring Our Native American Heros in Tennessee

Who We Are

The Tennessee Native American Eagle Awards was created in 1998 with a dream to honor Native American People in Tennessee for their contributions to not only Native Americans but other races of people as well.  We wanted to honor these leaders publicly so that others could see the good things they were doing on issues that affect everyone.

We chose the name "Eagle Awards" because like the Eagle these people achieve the highest.  They strive to be the best or do the best.

These Eagle Award Recipients are Hero's in today's society.  There are many that admire all that they have done.  They do their good works all the time, not thinking others notice.  We want to honor them for their selfless acts.  We look up to them and we want others to look up to them for their leadership qualities and traditional values.

In the past, the honorees have accepted their Awards with humility, in the same selfless manner that they made their individual contributions.  There were no longwinded speeches of acceptance, only humble thank-yous and embraces.  They always say they don't deserve this Award because they don't realize the good things they have done.

We are dedicated to Honoring ALL the Native American Hero's in Tennessee.
